In a first-of-its-kind move for district-level cricket governance, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jawad Sports and Cultural Complex (JSCC) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This partnership aims to reshape the cricketing landscape of Faisalabad by providing a formal structure for talent scouting and tournament organization at the grassroots level.
A 5-Year Roadmap for Faisalabad Cricket
The agreement, signed at Gaddafi Stadium by PCB’s Director of Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi and JSCC CEO Mr. Jawad Afzal, establishes a framework where a local private entity directly supports the District Cricket Association (DCA).

Under this MoU, JSCC will sponsor and help conduct the following major events in Faisalabad:
- Age-Group Cricket: U15, U17, and U19 Challenge Cups.
- Senior Circuit: District Senior Challenge League and Inter-Club events.
