SAHIWAL: A woman has alleged that she was sexually assaulted in Sahiwal after being invited from Tandlianwala for a potential job opportunity, police said on Friday.
According to authorities, the woman, a resident of Bherwana village in Tandlianwala, had interacted with a Sahiwal-based individual through social media. She alleged that the person had promised assistance in finding employment.
Police said the woman traveled to Sahiwal on Thursday evening for a meeting related to the proposed job. Upon arrival, she claims she was taken to a house, offered a drink, and then subjected to sexual assault by the individual and an accomplice.

The complainant further stated that she was later dropped at the General Bus Stand and threatened not to report the incident. She subsequently lodged a formal complaint with Ghala Mandi police.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. The main suspect is currently at large, and police said they are conducting raids to locate him and his accomplice.
The woman was referred for a medico-legal examination, and authorities are reviewing evidence related to her communications with the accused. The investigation is ongoing.
