Foreign Office: “India’s Statements Confirm Complicity”
In a weekly press briefing on Thursday, February 26, FO Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi addressed the latest Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) comments regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan:
- Confirmation of Stance: Andrabi stated that India’s specific reaction to the Balochistan incidents effectively “confirmed” Pakistan’s long-held position that New Delhi is actively sponsoring militant groups like the BLA and “Fitna-al-Hind” to sabotage CPEC and internal security.
- Samjhauta Express Anniversary: On the 19th anniversary of the 2007 attack, the FO lamented the “systemic exoneration” of perpetrators like Swami Aseemanand and Col. Purohit. - India’s Condemnation: MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal strongly condemned Pakistan’s strikes on Kabul and Kandahar, expressing support for “Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” Islamabad dismissed this as a “bogey of terrorism” being exploited by India.
