Three Suspects Arrested in Attack on Cricketer Naseem Shah’s House in KP

Police in Lower Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have arrested three suspects in connection with the November 10 attack on Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah’s residence in the Mayar area. The incident occurred around 1:45am, when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the main gate of the house, leaving bullet marks on doors, walls, and windows. No one was injured.

A special police team led by SP Investigations Rashid Ahmed Khan, along with SDPO Alim Khan, SHO Idrees Khan, and CIO Hayat Muhammad Khan, reviewed CCTV footage and other evidence to identify the suspects. Naseem Shah’s father, Zafar Shah, had nominated the suspects in the case. During interrogation, all three reportedly confessed to their involvement.

Authorities said the attack stemmed from a recent land dispute between two local families. On the day of the incident, a disagreement over cultivation on disputed land escalated into gunfire, and because members of Naseem’s mother’s family were linked to one side, his house was targeted.
