BISP Beneficiary Alleges Daughter Kidnapped Outside Payment Centre

JALALPUR PIRWALA: A woman collecting her quarterly Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) payment on Wednesday alleged that her daughter, Hajiran Bibi, was kidnapped outside the programme’s office. According to police, Sakina Bibi had arrived from village Inayatpur with her daughter, who stepped out to get a photocopy of her identity card from a nearby shop.

Sakina claimed that a man named Mohsin abducted the girl and fled the scene. Jalalpur City police have registered a case under Section 366 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to kidnapping for illicit purposes. Officials said search efforts were under way and surrounding areas were being scanned for leads. Police assured that the investigation would be expedited to ensure the girl’s safe recovery.
