CIE acknowledged the frustration and disappointment felt by students and their families but maintained that “calculated assessments” would not be used, as a physical retake is the only way to deliver trusted grades. Detailed instructions regarding question paper logistics will be shared with schools by May 15. The board also warned that individuals found involved in the leak face permanent disqualification from all Cambridge qualifications. Students are encouraged to continue focusing on their remaining scheduled examinations while the board works to remove fraudulent “leaks” circulating on social media.
