Out of 51 accused, the court acquitted 21, convicted 18, and declared 12, including PTI activist Sanam Javed, absconders for failing to appear.
The case was registered by Sarwar Road police after PTI workers attacked public and military property following the arrest of party founder Imran Khan on May 9, 2023. The violent unrest saw widespread targeting of military facilities, including the Corps Commander House in Lahore.
This marks the fourth acquittal for Shah Mahmood Qureshi in cases linked to the May 9 violence, while many other PTI leaders continue to face lengthy prison terms.
