DG ISPR Warns Against One-Man Politics, Says KP Crisis Was Engineered

PESHAWAR – October 11, 2025— In a powerful press conference at Peshawar Corps Headquarters, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry warned that Pakistan cannot be held hostage to the politics of a single individual. He said terrorism was reintroduced to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a “well-thought-out plan” that deliberately weakened governance and public welfare.

“No one has the right to sacrifice the lives, property, and dignity of Pakistanis—especially the brave people of KP—for personal political gain,” said the military spokesperson. He noted that, unlike KP, Sindh and Punjab saw a drop in terrorist activity due to functional governance.

DG ISPR Lt Gen Chaudhry made it clear that the armed forces are fulfilling their duties within constitutional limits, but the responsibility for civilian security lies with provincial and local governments. “Stop blaming others. Instead of begging Afghanistan for help, focus on protecting your own people,” he asserted.

The DG ISPR criticized attempts to confuse public opinion through political rhetoric. He stressed that the military remains united and resolute: “The blood of our martyrs will never go in vain.”

Reiterating national resolve, he declared, “Anyone aiding terrorists—regardless of position—will face consequences.”

Lt Gen Chaudhry concluded by urging political forces to rise above self-interest, fully implement the National Action Plan, and stop facilitating foreign criminal networks. “This is not just about politics—it’s about survival,” he said.
